The Panasonic S1 is a TV series quite well generally. The only thing I'm not a big fan of anti-glare screen. anti-reflection is as safe as less reflective then your standard glossy plasma screen, but the glossy screen gives a slightly better standard. I have this TV in a basement and it would be better with the glossy screen. If you have a room lit moderatley, but wants a plasma would be perfect for you. I can not coment on the sound, as I have never herd of TV speakers evything I walk directly to a home theater system. I recommend this TV to a friend looking for a 40''TV + under $ 1000.
